film part I

i have been receiving a bunch of emails about my photography biz

i want to let you all know that i will ALWAYS do photography
it's apart of my every day life
i could never turn my back on my beloved clickers

right now . . .

at this time in my life
i am not booking any sessions for awhile

reason being . . .
i want to enjoy every single second of this pregnancy
& prepare for my little man to arrive
i have waited too long to not enjoy this little miracle inside me

i will probably start things back up beginning of next summer
so keep that in mind my friends!
i also will be switching my digital photography work to all film
no ifs, ands, or buts...

now that that's said...
i want to show off some of my personal film work i have been working on the past couple of years
it's been a long time coming
but...the results are everything i have been looking & feeling for
it's so dreamy
film finally captures what is in my heart & head

at the beginning of last summer i took these frames
& have been dying to share them
i was waiting for my new branding & website to be up to present these
but things fell through

it's now time to get share these gems!

these 2 are blissful
& i am so lucky they volunteered to be my models for this film project of mine
they couldn't be more perfect for my vision
this was my first official shoot that i used all film & not any digital
pretty proud of myself

i can't believe how they turned out
it was hard
to not look at your work instantly to fix what needs fixin
to wait 3 or so weeks for the 5 rolls to finally come back from the lab
but by golly
SO worth every penny & minute!

bakers beach...

last day in san francisco...
i was so sad it was over.
but loved every second spent.

we got to see the golden gate bridge from bakers beach. we found out after we left the beach that it was a nude beach...oh boy. i've never seen a nudey & i'm glad we didn't spot one haha
but the golden gate bride...twas breathtaking
it boggles my mind that man made it. it's massive & quite extraordinary!

the beach was very romantic.
in the images below it was sooooo dark. so yes...i cranked up my iso
i love the images & so happy i could get some side by side with my one & only...
grainy goodness for me
& i'm appreciating blurry images more & more

i'm so grateful that i got this time with my husband in san fran.
probably my favorite vacation so far to date.

i can't wait to walk, smell, & feel you again lovely city
till next time...

p.s. i haven't been posting very much because i have been working on something. something special. & this blog will be one of my personal outlets. exciting & honest things. stay tuned.

i have so much to do & so much to post & so much to say

one of my goals this year is to post more often

i know this is super late but i can't not not post the rest of my images from our summer trip

here is day three

i just fall in love with this city even more

he did find a dirty old mattress laying on the street.
yes...he got quite comfy on it.

if i could only take pieces of these houses
& put them all together to make my dream home.

but doesn't this picture remind you of something you would see in mr.rodgers neighborhood..right!?

the city in black & white

day two in sausalito...

needed a little break from my editing...trying so hard to catch up

i know i have been editing too long when my butt starts to go numb 

& my wrist starts to ache

so i thought i would work on something personal

i still have 2 more days of our san francisco trip to put up

but for now here is our 2nd day there

we went to the muir woods 

they're actually quite similar to the red woods

i'm such a fan of trees

especially the lonely ones

but these tree's were gigantic & absolutely stunning

i was obsessed with the warm luscious light shining through the leaves

& the mood it brought to us as we walked through the park

afterwards we went to sausalito...

we went to dinner in this tiny little roman style pizzeria

the food & service was amazing!

it was the coolest, prettiest little rich city ever

there were boats everywhere you looked

& the ocean was covered with them

can't wait to visit again...

oh & p.s.
i really shouldn't wear tan pants...
they make me look nude...right?!
